SNHU Grad, Grandmother of 33 Featured by Good Morning America
Robyn Roberts, a 63-year-old grandmother of 33, was featured by Good Morning America and ABC's World News Tonight shortly after earning her degree, just one of more than 22,000 graduates honored at Southern New Hampshire University’s most recent commencement ceremony.
Roberts, a Las Vegas resident, owns a trucking business with her husband. She said she embarked on her college journey when one of her grandsons said he would go to college if she did. Roberts told the show she hopes to attend law school and eventually support abuse survivors.
Roberts’ story was featured on air by GMA hosts Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Linsey Davis, as well as on the home pages of GoodMorningAmerica.com and ABC News.
Roberts, who earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration online, said graduating gave her a great sense of accomplishment.
“I have finished something I started that is absolutely amazing, and I feel amazing,” she said.
