Southern New Hampshire University celebrated its 84th commencement Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire. Four ceremonies were held throughout the weekend for campus, online, Advantage Program and College for America students. Guest speakers included Ted Mitchell, under secretary of education for the U.S. Department of Education; Dr. Swanee Hunt, president of Hunt Alternatives and former ambassador to Austria; John Fallon, CEO of Pearson PLC; and Sen. Bob Kerrey, managing director at Allen & Company and executive chairman of the Minerva Project.

Kelsey Carnell
Bachelor of Science in Marketing grad Kelsey Carnell delivered the campus undergraduate student address. During her speech, Carnell spoke of her experiences at Southern New Hampshire University and the world-class education and support she received throughout her four years on campus.
Ted Mitchell
Ted Mitchell, the under secretary of education for the U.S. Department of Education, delivered the guest address during the SNHU University College Commencement ceremony. In his address, Mitchell encouraged graduates to seek and lead a life of purpose.
Kimberly O’Keefe
Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership grad Kimberly O'Keefe delivered the student address during the 2016 SNHU Online Undergraduate Programs, Advantage Program and College for America Commencement Ceremony. O'Keefe addressed the importance of taking chances and pursuing lifelong dreams.
Swanee Hunt
Dr. Swanee Hunt delivered the guest address during the SNHU Online Undergraduate Programs, Advantage Program and College for America Commencement Ceremony. Hunt, president of Hunt Alternatives and former ambassador to Austria, encouraged the Class of 2016 to become pioneers.
Bob Kerrey
Sen. Bob Kerrey delivered the guest address during the 2016 Online Graduate Business Programs Commencement Ceremony. Kerrey, a Medal of Honor recipient, is managing director at Allen & Company and executive chairman of the Minerva Project. He gave graduates his advice for leading a full life.
Jessica Torruella Torres
Jessica Torruella Torres delivered the student address during the 2016 Online Graduate Non-business Programs Commencement Ceremony. Torres, an online Master of Science in Management/Healthcare Administration graduate, spoke of her path toward earning an advance degree at SNHU.
John Fallon
John Fallon delivered the guest address at the 2016 Online Graduate Non-business Programs Commencement Ceremony. Fallon, chief executive officer at Pearson PLC and advisory board member of the Global Business Coalition for Education, spoke about the pioneering spirit of SNHU and its graduates.
